About AJIL

A description of myself must begin by mentioning the origins of my parents. The son of a pearl-diver, my father is from Kuwait. The daughter of a US Military Veteran, my mother is a blue-eyed & freckled military brat that lived among the Mid-West. The two met while attending The University of Iowa.

It was there in Des Moines, Iowa, on February 9, 1987 (Aquarius) I came into this world. Six weeks after birth, I was on a flight to Kuwait. I have spent my life living between Kuwait and Florida, never staying in one house for more than three years. I attended four different elementary schools, three middle schools, and five high schools. Developing an interest in expressing myself artistically helped with all the moving around.

My current place of residence is Tampa, Florida. I may not live with my parents, but they still provide for me, allowing focus to be on my education. I have taken interest to study anthropology, structural engineering, environmental science, sustainability, and other related subjects. The plan is to get into the field of urban planning. I have much discipline to build before I can really dig into all the material that lays ahead.

I do not find importance in identifying with any one nation-state over another, nor do I identify with any sports teams, brand names, corporations, ideologies, religions, origins, etc. I try to remain true to myself. I care about the health and well-being of all the faces of life.

I am a citizen of the world.
